Isn't this photo adorable? I love her hair!

If you're a young lady like me you probably occasionally dream about what last name your future husband will have and whether it will fit nicely with your first name. Here are some random surnames (with a few Jane Austen surnames stuck in), vote for which ones fit best with your first name.

Thanks to Melody who suggested this post! I'll probably do similar posts with surnames in future because it's a fun idea! :)

Which of these surnames goes best with your first name?
Blaine
Breckenridge
Campbell
Corrigan
Darcy
Devlin
Elliot
Fabre
Gilbert
Hamilton
Kelly
Knightley
Linton
Macfarland
Marsden
McCallum
McNeil
Morland

Which surnames did you choose and why?

Do you have any favorite surnames maybe from history, literature or your family tree?

Surnames to go with my first name:
-Laurie Campbell (I like this one, it's Scottish!)
-Laurie Gilbert (this one is okay)
-Laurie Hamilton (this would be fun to write)
-Laurie McCallum (actually love this, only maybe MacCallum, I adore Mac surnames!)
-Laurie Sullivan (it's a very nice surname and fits rather well)

I think next time I might do a poll with surname from my family tree, or from surnames of people I know in real life. Sound fun? :)

Maria Elisabeth Tilney! I'd love being called that. And, as a matter of fact, my favorite 'amazing guy' name is Edmund George Fitzwilliam Tilney! Yes, I love long names, and yes, I love Henry Tilney. :D

I love those surnames!

Oh! I didn't even see this until now. =) I forgot I even suggested that!

Okay, let's see...
Melody Corrigan
Melody Hamilton
Melody Morland is actually pretty cool! =)
Melody Wentworth (hehe - unfortunately I don't like either Darcy Knightley or Tilney, because they all end in 'e' sound, as does my first name...and it just doesn't sound right. :P Although Henry Tilney sounds fine. =) )

But really, I like my last name a lot. That's a good thing about not getting married. te he ;-)

Fun post!!

Ok...

Elizabeth Darcy - win!
Elizabeth Elliot - nice
Elizabeth Hamilton
Elizabeth Knightley - LOVE
Elizabeth Morland
Elizabeth Wentworth

I like Darcy and Knightley the best! :)

What a brilliant idea! Do these again! :)

Haha, Elizabeth, you should definitely marry someone with the last name Darcy. Or at least Bennet. Or at the very least Bennett. ;-)

Did you know that Elizabeth Elliot is a Jane Austen character (Persuasion), and in real life Elizabeth Elliot as a famous missionary's wife? =)

Can I pick Hayden Tilney just because? Sigh...alright.

I've always been fond of the last name Campbell, (thanks to Lousia May Alcott's Eight Cousins & Rose in Bloom) and Hayden Campbell doesn't sound too bad :)

I have to say none of them go as well with my name as my real last name does... I'm quite happy with my last name :)

I think that Hamilton is the only one that goes well with my first name.

Xenia Hamilton

My real last name is the best though (Allen). Or Xenia Armitage (as in Richard Armitage..hee hee)

As much as I love Jane Austen's books the names generally are not my favorites.
